InnoDB in Cloud Hosting
You will be able to run any open-source script-driven app that needs InnoDB in case you have a cloud hosting with us, as the MySQL database storage engine is present on our avant-garde cloud platform by default. During the app installation – manual or automatic, InnoDB will be selected as the default engine and the setup will continue flawlessly in case this engine is needed. You can activate apps that require the MyISAM engine without having to deal with any problem as well and, once again, the engine will be pre-selected, so you will not have to configure any setting manually at any time. Furthermore, we will also make daily backups of all the MySQL databases that you have in the shared hosting account, so in case you delete or overwrite something, we can quickly get it back to the way it was on any of the previous 7 days.
InnoDB in Semi-dedicated Servers
All our semi-dedicated servers include InnoDB and you will be able to make the most of all the options offered by this MySQL database storage engine with any script-powered application that needs it. It is among the engines that are available on our cloud hosting platform, so the one that will be used depends on the prerequisites of the specific app. You will not need to do anything manually in order to activate InnoDB, since it will be set as the default engine when you install an application – whether manually or using our single-click application installer tool. To be on the safe side, we’ll store daily MySQL database backups, so if something goes wrong following an update or if you erase some content unintentionally, we will be able to restore your database the way it was on any of the past 7 days.
InnoDB in Dedicated Servers
If you obtain a new dedicated server, you will be able to choose one of the 3 Control Panels that we’re offering – DirectAdmin, cPanel and Hepsia. Any server ordered with the Hepsia hosting Control Panel comes with InnoDB pre-installed, so you will not have to install this database storage engine manually so as to be able to use PHP script-driven applications that require it. InnoDB is used for scalable applications and since a dedicated server will provide you with all the server resources that you need in order to run large-scale sites, it is rather likely that you’ll resort to InnoDB. You’ll be able to use other engines as well, so in case a given app requires MyISAM rather than InnoDB, you will not run into any difficulty while managing it. The engine that will be used will be detected automatically the moment the app installation starts, so you won’t need to update any settings manually at any point.
