There are numerous web-based email service providers that you can resort to, but using an email with your own personal domain will provide you with more credibility if you are running a company, for instance, not to mention that with web-based services there are limitations on the maximum size of the attachments that you can send or receive. If you use an email service that supports the IMAP and POP3 email delivery protocols, you won’t experience such problems and you will be able to use any software program on your computer to check your mails, including Thunderbird, Apple Mail or Outlook. You can even set up an email account on your phone. The difference between the two email protocols is that with IMAP, an email message is displayed locally at your end, but remains on the mail server, whereas with POP3, the message is downloaded on your computer, unless you configure the program in such a way as to keep a copy on the server.

POP3 IMAP E-mail Accounts in Cloud Hosting

You’ll be able to use any email client and any desktop or mobile device to examine your email messages if you choose one of our cloud hosting. Our mail servers support both email delivery protocols (POP3 and IMAP), so you can select the one that suits your requirements – you can download all email messages onto your home computer or you can store the emails on the email server in case you have a firm and different people need to be able to access them, for instance. You can even download an auto-configuration file for a given mailbox for any of the three most widely used desktop email clients – Thunderbird, Outlook and Apple Mail. You’ll just have to run the file on your computer and that mailbox will be automatically set up. If you’d like to use your smartphone, we have detailed tutorials on how to configure a mailbox on an iOS- or an Android-powered device.

POP3 IMAP E-mail Accounts in Semi-dedicated Servers

You can select between the IMAP and the POP3 email delivery protocols in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. We support both, so you can choose what to do with your messages – to download them on your personal computer or to leave them on the email server and to access them from different devices. The second option will also enable different people to access the same mailbox – if you’re hosting a company web site on our semi-dedicated servers, for example. You can find auto-configuration files in the Email Manager section of our Hepsia hosting Control Panel, which will permit you to set up everything automatically in an email client of your choice – Outlook, Apple Mail or Thunderbird, so you won’t have to modify anything manually. In case you have a mobile phone, you can add any mailbox just as easily – just read our comprehensive tutorials for iPhone and Android.
